Events Program
The OBS is returning to in-person events but will continue to provide the means to join events online for those living far away or unable to attend in-person for other reasons.
From April 2023 onward, the Friday Evening Meeting, scheduled on the third Friday of each month, will be held in person at Quaker House, 91A, Fourth Avenue, the Glebe and the Saturday the Day of Mindfulness will be held in-person at the Tu An Pagoda, 3591, Albion Road, Ottawa South.
We very much hope that you will be able to attend as we look forward to seeing members and friends, both new and old, in person and to strengthening connections within the OBS community. There will be no registration for the in-person events but please come early as, to ensure a comfortable experience for all, the OBS will be limiting the number of attendees to 40 for the Friday Evening Meeting and 25 for the Day of mindfulness.
Please note that wearing a mask at OBS in-person events will be optional.
The Saturday Day of Mindfulness includes a pot-luck vegetarian lunch. The lunch provides a beautiful opportunity to offer sustenance to the teacher and for participants to share a meal together. For those intending to stay for the lunch, please bring a vegetarian dish that can be shared. Utensils will be provided.
The Friday Meeting at the beginning of the month will remain online only.
OBS Members are automatically sent invitations to Zoom events. Non-members are also
welcome to attend but will need to register by filling out the ’Register Form’ on this page. Your email address will be placed on a ‘Friends’ mailing list and you will receive invitations to Zoom events.
Invitations to our Zoom Meetings are sent out by email on the Friday morning of the event for
easy access in your inbox.
